The BMB20 is engineered as a compact, floor-standing unit with an integrated refrigeration skid and evaporator section mounted on a common galvanized steel base frame. The evaporator plates are food-grade aluminum alloy with a proprietary anti-corrosion coating, enabling consistent ice clarity cycle after cycle. The entire water circuit is enclosed and continuously purged of residual unfrozen water at the end of each freeze phase, eliminating the cloudy core common in conventional block ice.

Filtered water fills the vertical ice molds, and refrigerant circulates within the direct-expansion plates at a precisely controlled evaporation temperature. Due to the uniform heat extraction from all surfaces, dissolved solids are pushed toward the center of the block. Before the entire mass freezes, an automated purge cycle drains the impurity-laden core water and replaces it with fresh water, completing the freeze into a fully solid, optically clear block. Harvesting is achieved via hot gas defrost, releasing blocks by gravity onto a cushioned discharge tray.

The machine uses a semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor paired with a shell-and-tube water-cooled condenser, ensuring stable suction pressure even under fluctuating ambient conditions. The PLC control system stores multiple freeze recipes that operators can select based on inlet water quality and desired final ice temperature. All water-contact components are SUS304 as standard, Compliant with food-grade standards, ice made from qualified water is directly edible, 316L stainless steel is also available as an option. The power supply is 380V/50Hz/3P, with full customization to local voltage and frequency.
