The ICEMA Ice Crusher is a block ice crushing device designed to efficiently crush whole large transparent ice blocks into evenly sized and adjustable crushed ice particles. Equipped with an all-stainless steel crushing chamber and replaceable cutter set, the machine can customize the fineness of crushed ice according to users' cooling process requirements. It is widely applied in fishery fresh-keeping, concrete cooling, food processing, beverage ice distribution and other scenarios, serving as an essential supporting device for ice-making factories and downstream processing lines.
This ice crusher adopts a horizontal gear roller or vertical hammer mill crushing structure (selected based on production capacity and ice crushing characteristics). Its main frame is welded with heavy-duty channel steel and SUS304 stainless steel panels, enabling it to withstand repeated impact loads from large ice blocks. The feed inlet is fitted with a safety grille and inclined slideway, allowing seamless connection with block ice conveying lines or manual feeding. All parts in contact with ice are made of food-grade stainless steel and subjected to electrolytic polishing, complying with HACCP hygiene standards.
After large ice blocks fall into the crushing chamber through the feed hopper, they are sheared, extruded and impacted by frequency-conversion driven gear rollers or rotating hammer sets, breaking the ice along grain boundaries. The crushed ice particles are discharged through a detachable screen with adjustable aperture, and the screen aperture determines the maximum size of the final crushed ice. Larger ice particles that fail to pass through the screen will be crushed repeatedly until discharged. The entire crushing process is continuous, with no impact on ice outlet temperature, and the ice particles feature low water content and no agglomeration.
The crushing particle size can be flexibly customized by replacing the screen and adjusting the cutter roller speed, covering various specifications from coarse particles (about 30 mm) to fine particles (about 5 mm). The blades are made of high-strength alloy tool steel with regrindable or quickly replaceable cutting edges, greatly reducing maintenance costs. The control system is equipped with load monitoring and reverse clogging removal functions; it automatically reverses to discharge foreign matter when encountering abnormal resistance, protecting key components. The driving mode supports direct motor connection or hydraulic motor. Power supply and protection grade can be customized according to the installation environment, making it suitable for humid, low-temperature and high-dust working conditions.

A large amount of crushed ice base material is needed daily, and the store space is limited, so the combination of external purchased block ice and a crushed ice machine is used for on-demand crushing.

The background uses a crushed ice machine to crush the block ice stored in the warehouse to provide a tight-fitting crushed ice bottom material for seafood and meat display counters.

Small crushed ice machines are used for summer cup cold drinks, purchasing bagged block ice or tube ice from nearby ice factories for daily on-site crushing and use.

The process requires instantaneous cooling (such as meat mincing mixing, dough temperature control). The factory self-prepares block ice and produces uniform crushed ice through an industrial crushed ice machine for direct addition to the mixer.
