15-Ton Industrial Flake Ice Machine
ICEMA-BMF150 is a heavy-duty industrial flake ice plant producing 15,000 kg of low-temperature flake ice per day. Purpose-built for concrete batching plants, large fishing harbors, and chemical reactors, it operates reliably in ambient temperatures up to 50°C. The machine produces ice at -8°C to -10°C with a dry, granular consistency that flows well in pneumatic lines and silos.
The BMF150 features a single large-diameter vertical evaporator drum driven by a cycloidal gearbox. The drum is fabricated from duplex stainless steel with a polished freezing surface to minimize wear. The entire evaporation section is enclosed in a stainless steel shroud with polyurethane foam insulation to prevent condensation and energy loss. The unit is floor-mounted and includes a service platform for safe maintenance access.
A multi-stage centrifugal pump draws from a bottom reservoir and feeds water to a circular spray ring. Water distributes evenly over the drum, and the refrigeration system maintains a suction pressure corresponding to an evaporating temperature of -30°C. The reamer knife-holder is equipped with stacked, individually replaceable tool steel blades set to a precise gap. Dried flake ice falls through a discharge chute that can be rotated in 90-degree increments to suit various plant layouts.
The refrigeration side employs an open-type Bitzer screw compressor with an economized cycle, matched to an evaporative condenser for minimum power consumption. The real-time control system monitors ice temperature via an IR sensor and adjusts drum rotation rate automatically to hold ice dryness within a target band. All motor starters and the PLC are housed in an IP65 cabinet with active cooling. The system includes an automatic water bleed-off to control mineral concentration. Power supply: 380V/50Hz/3P, It can also be customized according to the voltage standards of the customer's country.
