30-Ton Direct Cooling Block Ice Machine
ICEMA-BMB300 is an industrial-scale direct cooling block ice plant delivering up to 30,000 kg of pure, solid block ice per day. Conceived for centralized ice factories, large fishery ports, and district cooling hubs, it features multi-evaporator staging, central PLC management, and an integrated ice rake and conveying system. The BMB300 delivers the lowest cost-per-ton of ice through advanced heat recovery and sequential loading.
The BMB300 is a true factory solution, not a single machine. It comprises four independent direct cooling evaporator modules fed by a common high-efficiency compound compression system (screw plus reciprocating booster in economized configuration). This setup allows partial load operation, maintenance bypass of any module, and scalable production. The structure is seismically rated and can be installed on multiple floors or a mezzanine. All operational data—freeze progression, harvest count, energy consumption per batch, compressor runtime—is logged and accessible via OPC-UA for factory MES integration.
The system uses a falling-film pre-cooler to bring incoming process water down to 4°C before it enters the ice molds, drastically cutting freeze time. Direct expansion plates operate in a sequential harvest mode: while one module defrosts and drops ice, the other three continue freezing, ensuring steady compressor loading. Blocks are released onto a shock-absorbing conveyor that transports them directly to a cold storage or a crusher station. Defrost waste water heat is recovered to pre-heat boiler feed water, boosting overall plant efficiency.
Key advantages include full remote operation via VPN-enabled PLC with live alarm notification, a centralized oil return system for the parallel compressor rack, and intelligent demand response—the plant can target production during off-peak electricity rates automatically. Water contact materials are 316L stainless steel and food-grade aluminum, complying with FDA and EU 1935/2004. Ice block weight is configurable from 15 kg to 50 kg per block. Standard power is 3-phase 380V/50Hz, with 6.3 kV or 13.8 kV transformer options available for direct grid connection in large facilities.

Large block ice melts slowly, maintaining low temperatures in fishing holds or trading pools for 3~5 days, suitable for centralized ice use on ships or docks.

Place large ice blocks in the workshop during summer to continuously cool using high latent heat, with no wind chill, suitable for meat processing plants and dairy factories.

Crush large ice blocks into ice shavings during mixing; large blocks are easy to transport and store, with high direct cooling efficiency to meet the ice demand for engineering volumes.

Block ice combined with cold fans is used for rapid pre-cooling in the field to prevent respiratory heat accumulation.
